This track is about awakening and becoming conscious of the space that lies behind all thoughts - where we find our true selves. I see music as energy - sound waves that are shaped and sculpted to resonate with our inner selves. Why is it that some melodies or harmonies stir us and awaken within us something that is beyond comprehension?
For those of you interested in the technicalities of music production!: I created an unusual guitar sound for the 'chorus' section that is almost voice-like in its quality. I achieved this by first recording the guitar phrases, then reversing the recorded sections - so the phrases run backwards, then processing the sounds to create a human voice sound - distant and haunting. At the end of the track I overlaid some of these 'voice' sections to create an interplay of sounds and complemented it with some synth sounds. I used Samplitude Music Studio MX for production/editing.
